Been listening to a lot of older music lately, especially old Emmylous Harris. No one compares to this graceful, beautifully vocal lady. . .
Wearing. . . well, if you follow my Listening-Wearing-Making posts much you've probably noticed that I mostly wear skirts and dresses. This has been the case for most of my adult life (with a few intermittent years where I wore either colorful courdoroys or skinny jeans) mainly because I find them to be so much more comfortable than pants. That, and it is infinitely easier to find cute skirts and dresses that fit at thrift shops than it is pants of any kind. This particular dress was a slam dunk find with it's sheer white floral patterning. . .
Making - this is a funny time of the year for me. I've just made it through the marathon that is making making making for my summer fairs. Now, I'm gearing up to prepare for production work for the holidays. Right now tho, things are a bit slower, which is wonderful for exploring new designs and ideas for designs. I even took the time to take a torch-fired enamel class at a local bead store last week. So glad I did because it really got the creative juices flowing. Here, a sneak peek of more new designs to come. This pair is an example of my re-purposed tin pieces. There's gonna be A LOT of these for the holidays since you all seem to love them so much!
I hope everyone's week is off to a great start!
